About the role:
Pro Power Services needs a licensed Journeyman Electrician to run several electrical jobs at once and lead the crews who build them. You will own each job from kickoff to closeout: schedule, crew, material, quality, and safety.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You know the work because you have done the work. You plan it, staff it, check it, and make sure every person goes home the same way they came in.
What you will do:
Manage multiple jobs:
- Run several active jobs at the same time and keep each one on schedule and on budget.
- Read plans, specs, and scopes; break each job into tasks, crew hours, and material.
- Order and track material and equipment so crews are never waiting.
- Coordinate with customers, general contractors, inspectors, and utilities.
- Track change orders and report job status to the owner every week.
- Close out each job: punch list, inspections, as-builts, and customer sign-off.
Lead crews:
- Assign crews and foremen to jobs each day based on skill, license, and workload.
- Hold a job briefing before work starts and when conditions change.
- Coach, train, and hold crew members accountable for quality, attendance, and conduct.
- Verify apprentices work under proper supervision and log their hours.
- Give input on hiring, performance reviews, and corrective action.
Keep the work safe and to code:
- Enforce the company safety program on every job, every day.
- Make sure crews establish an electrically safe work condition before they work on or near live parts.
- Enforce lockout/tagout, arc flash and shock PPE, approach boundaries, and test-before-touch.
- Stop work when conditions are unsafe, and correct the cause before work restarts.
- Inspect work for NEC compliance before it is covered or inspected.
- Report and help investigate every injury, near miss, and property damage event.
What you must have:
- Active Texas Journeyman Electrician license from TDLR (or the ability to get one before your start date). Master Electrician license is a plus.
- Hands-on electrical experience in [commercial / industrial / residential] work.
- Experience leading a crew or running jobs as a foreman or lead.
- Strong working knowledge of the current NEC.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical safety: NFPA 70E, OSHA electrical standards, lockout/tagout, arc flash and shock PPE.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, one line diagrams, and specs.
- Proven ability to run more than one job at a time without losing track of details.
- Clear, direct communicator with crews, customers, and inspectors.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Comfortable with basic computer tools: email, scheduling, and job tracking software.
- Ability to work on active job sites; climb ladders, work in heat and cold, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice to have:
- Texas Master Electrician license.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction card.
- Current NFPA 70E qualified person training.
- Experience with estimating, takeoffs, or bidding.
- Experience with job management software.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
What we offer:
- Competitive pay based on license and experience.
- Company truck / vehicle allowance, fuel card, and phone.
- Paid time off and paid holidays.
